If there was a way for foreign brands to succeed in China, they’d have tried it already.

Oh, wait — they were successful for a time, but remained stagnant and so utterly hopeless at responding to Chinese consumers.

Now what? I'm by no means an expert on the Chinese car market, but in my estimation it’s time for traditional automakers to abandon generations of decisions that led an entire industry into fighting for space on streets filled with consumers within the world’s most advanced electric vehicle market.

Throw out all but the very best nameplates — and revisit the failed concept cars that went nowhere.

Because automakers will never do this, fuck ‘em — someone else should pilfer past concepts…starting with the Opel Maxx city car.
