𝙕𝙡𝙂𝙕𝘼𝙂 𝟘𝟘𝟜: Design legacies

Take the original Hyundai Pony. Here in the West, the version we received of the hatchback was a decent success, however was priced, treated, and remembered as a disposable car.

In Korea, the Pony was already a local legend—so much of a legend there’s now an entire private foundation and museum full of Hyundai design history.

This week, Hyundai and GFG Style (Giorgetto and Fabrizio) Giugiaro announced a collaboration to recreate the original (lost) 1974 Pony Coupé, so let’s dig deeper on the beginnings of this industry powerhouse.
